– Valerie Van de Zilver

The thought of moving my mother out of her longtime house was daunting! I found [Marty's book] incredibly helpful both in dealing with practical matters (when to do what, and suggestions on how to do it), but also in navigating what is truly a challenging emotional situation. Her suggestions for how to talk with a parent about letting go of items that won’t fit in the next place helped a great deal. Marty also peppers her book with a wonderful sense of humor, which helps to lighten what is, at heart, a difficult topic. Thank you, Marty, for sharing your wonderful insights with the world and for helping people to better navigate what is a trying time in the lives of adult children and their parents!"

– Stacy

If you're dreading the day you'll have to move your folks or loved ones, this book is for you.

As someone who enjoys moving and has personally done 20+ moves throughout my life, this book is a GOLD MINE of valuable advice -- from all the checklists that'll save your sanity to the shocking discoveries you may find on page 141 that could end up funding the entire move. Moving yourself is one thing, but moving someone else is a whole other beast."
